Determine Soil Permeability

Percolation Test, commonly referred to as a “Perc Test”, will determine leaching rates and permeability of soils.

This test can be performed at upper soil strata or at deeper strata, following completion of a test boring, using placed casing. Using a Geoprobe, a 3½ inch casing is drilled to the proper level for best drainage and drainage material.

Percolation Tests are useful in design of sanitary waste systems, cesspools or septic tank installation; also, for the management of stormwater run-off which is required by most local code to be retained on private property using drywells and/or leaching fields.
